Can Human Design change over time?

Your core Human Design chart — Type, Authority, Profile, and Incarnation Cross — does not change, because it's calculated from fixed astronomical positions at your birth. What does change are transits: the current positions of the planets, which temporarily activate different Gates on top of your fixed chart day to day.

Think of your natal chart as the permanent structure and transits as weather passing over it — a transit might light up a Gate you don't have activated, giving you temporary access to that theme, or activate a Gate you already have, intensifying it for the duration of the transit.
