What is a Reflector in Human Design?
A Reflector is the rarest Human Design Type, at roughly 1% of the population, defined by having no defined centers at all. Their entire chart is open, so they take in, amplify, and reflect back the energy of everyone around them, and their wellbeing is closely tied to the health of their community.
Because Reflectors sample so many different energies from their environment, their Strategy is to wait a full lunar cycle — about 28 days — before making major decisions, so they can experience how a choice feels across many different daily conditions before committing.
Their Signature, when aligned, is Surprise and Delight; their Not-Self theme, when off track, is Disappointment. Reflectors are sometimes called the "canaries in the coal mine" of Human Design — highly sensitive barometers of the collective field they're part of.
