How do I find my Authority on my chart?

Authority is not a preference — it's a lookup that runs down your chart in a fixed order. If your Solar Plexus is defined you have Emotional Authority; if not, and your Sacral is defined, Sacral; if neither, and your Spleen is defined, Splenic; then Ego, then Self-Projected; a Projector with only Head, Ajna, and Throat definition has Mental Authority; and a chart with nothing defined has Lunar Authority. The first match in that order wins, regardless of what else is defined.

More on This

The order exists because the system ranks the reliability of each signal for decisions. An emotional wave overrides everything below it — if the Solar Plexus is defined, there is no truth in the moment and the answer only arrives after riding the wave. A defined Sacral answers instantly in the body. The Spleen speaks once, quietly, and doesn't repeat itself.

Read the Authority stated on your chart rather than deducing it from your Type: Generators are usually Sacral but are Emotional when the Solar Plexus is also defined, and Projectors span five of the seven Authorities depending on which centers they have.

Related Questions

Can I have two Authorities?
No. The hierarchy resolves to exactly one — the highest-ranked defined center in the order decides, and the rest are informational.
Does my Type determine my Authority?
Only partly. Type narrows the options, but which centers are defined decides it — that's why two Generators can have different Authorities.
Which Authority is most common?
Emotional, because a defined Solar Plexus outranks everything else and roughly half of all charts have one.
